Interesting article on Google’s moves in the digital mapping world. Once again, they’ve turned the orb topsy, going one better than offering for free that for which others charge an arm and leg, and sorta like actually paying people to use their product. There will be some fall out.
I hadn’t even noticed that Google dropped NavTeq more than a year ago. Now they’ve dropped Tele Atlas, too. Garmin must be crappin’ in its pants (and I say, "It’s about time.")
Hmm. I wonder if static screen grabs of Google Maps are now legal…
